In 1993, Bill Murray starred in the film called Groundhog Day. He is a weatherman who gets caught in a blizzard that he didn’t predict and finds himself trapped in a time warp. After the first couple of days, he surprisingly becomes aware that he is reliving the same day over and over again and realizes that he will continue to live the same day until he changes his actions and how he treats others.
This is one of my husband’s favourite movies. I know in January and February when it comes on TV, he’s going to be watching this movie again! And yet even though we can predict what’s going to be said, it remains a surprising truth and awareness lesson for our own lives.
What if something like that were to truly happen? Maybe you already feel it happens every Monday when the alarm goes off. What does it mean to truly and honestly know yourself? What work will it take to grow yourself?
What personal growth action are you engaged in today? What are you more aware of?
